The Band-Aid

So today Christian knocked over a bottle of cologne while playing with some toys. (Yes our bedroom smells quite nice right now!) I'm not sure how it happened but he got a cut just above his ankle. After calming him down (he was crying like it was the end of the world!) we cleaned it up and put on a band-aid. Well this spiked Anthony's interest and wanted some band-aids of his own. I've decided that band-aids are a good source of entertainment since it took him a while to open them and then to figure out how to put them on. If you're ever looking for a break, bust out the box of band-aids! The next two pics are of the fort the boys wanted to make one day. They had a good time except for that Anthony kept knocking it down. He just didn't quite get the 'fort' idea. He thought it was more fun to knock it down, hence Anthony's happy expression and Diego's unhappy face. Ahhhh, brothers!

Happy Birthday Christian!

During our trip to the Outer Banks, Christian turned 4 years old. He is a smart kid with tons of energy and a personality to boot. He has a love and natural ability for sports. He keeps us on our toes and we are glad to have him in our family.

Annual Beach Trip

Here is a little video of our annual beach trip that we had last week. It was a great week with great weather, good food and great company. We can't wait until next year.

Minature Golfing

Before the weather got to be unbearable outside, I took the boys minature golfing. This was their first time and they loved it. They even gave Anthony a plastic club so he could play too. This was the same place that I use to go as a kid and it is still the same. Nothing has changed!

Diego trying so hard to get it in the hole.

Christian is taking extreme caution as he goes through a difficult part.

Here's Anthony giving it a whack. He was more interested walking the course and holding his club.

This was the boy's favorite hole. They kept trying again and again to get it through the loop.
After golfing we went to the nearby park which had walking trails. On this trail was a stream which had a fallen tree over it. Of course the boys had to try and go across it. In the pic is Diego's school friend who came along with us. To get the boys to leave the park, I had to bribe them with going to get ice cream, which turned out to be quite refreshing after the hike back to the car (which Anthony didn't want to walk any of!).

Father/Son Campout

Last night was our ward's Father/Son Campout. This was Diego's second year going and Christians first. They were both so excited and have been talking about it all week. They were really disappointed that it was only for one night. The weather wasn't the greatest--rain, rain, and more rain. It made for a muddy campsite but didn't stop the boys from having a great time. They saw a big beaver in the river which was very exciting. Eating marshmellows around the campfire was fun as well. Even though it rained most of the night they stayed dry and can't wait for next year to come.
Home for a night! Ready for Bed They had to find a way to entertain themselves at night! Going for a morning hike! Notice all the puddles and mud, a boys dream! To keep the kids busy someone brought a paintball gun and cups and each of the boys took turns trying to knock down cups. Here are Diego (l) and Christian (r) giving it a go. Two happy campers!

Mother's Day Tea Party

Diego's preschool had a Mother's Day Tea Party on Friday. The different classes have a job they are assigned to that morning. Diego's class was in charge of making Ham and Cheese sandwiches, another class was fruit and dips, and another class was cookies. They assured us hands were washed and sneezed on sandwiches were replaced. They had been practicing 3 songs all week and performed them as us mothers, all with cameras/video cameras in hand, watched adoringly. We sat down and enjoyed our lunch and the party concluded with gifts from our kids. It was a fun little get together. You could tell the kids worked so hard.
Here is Diego in the back row actually singing his songs! He made sure to look right at me and gave me a thumbs up at the end.

Soccer Videos

Sorry for the poor quality. These were taken with the regular camera. As soon as we figure out how to download from our video camera we will post one of Diego and better shots of the others. Hope they make you smile!

Christian is the one with the ball.

This is just a bit of what he got into during Diego's soccer game.
