Father/Son Campout

Last night was our ward's Father/Son Campout. This was Diego's second year going and Christians first. They were both so excited and have been talking about it all week. They were really disappointed that it was only for one night. The weather wasn't the greatest--rain, rain, and more rain. It made for a muddy campsite but didn't stop the boys from having a great time. They saw a big beaver in the river which was very exciting. Eating marshmellows around the campfire was fun as well. Even though it rained most of the night they stayed dry and can't wait for next year to come.
Home for a night! Ready for Bed They had to find a way to entertain themselves at night! Going for a morning hike! Notice all the puddles and mud, a boys dream! To keep the kids busy someone brought a paintball gun and cups and each of the boys took turns trying to knock down cups. Here are Diego (l) and Christian (r) giving it a go. Two happy campers!

Mother's Day Tea Party

Diego's preschool had a Mother's Day Tea Party on Friday. The different classes have a job they are assigned to that morning. Diego's class was in charge of making Ham and Cheese sandwiches, another class was fruit and dips, and another class was cookies. They assured us hands were washed and sneezed on sandwiches were replaced. They had been practicing 3 songs all week and performed them as us mothers, all with cameras/video cameras in hand, watched adoringly. We sat down and enjoyed our lunch and the party concluded with gifts from our kids. It was a fun little get together. You could tell the kids worked so hard.
Here is Diego in the back row actually singing his songs! He made sure to look right at me and gave me a thumbs up at the end.

Soccer Videos

Sorry for the poor quality. These were taken with the regular camera. As soon as we figure out how to download from our video camera we will post one of Diego and better shots of the others. Hope they make you smile!

Christian is the one with the ball.

This is just a bit of what he got into during Diego's soccer game.

Soccer

Our soccer boys!!
Diego is playing his second season of soccer and is liking it better each week. After finally scoring his first goal he has gotten more excited about playing. He has done well with each passing week and will constantly give us a thumbs-up! Here a some pics from the season thus far.
Giving the fans a thumbs-up!
Getting last minute instructions from Coach Carl about the kick-off.
This was our first game of the season and it was chilly. This didn't put us off to a great start. Luckily the weather warmed up...maybe too much!
This is Christian's first season playing soccer and he loves it. He runs all over the field to get the ball and when he get's it he takes it to the goal. He sure makes dad proud! He will usually score a number of goals which he loves to tell Diego. (We're still working on the bragging thing :) ) Here are a couple of his pics.
On a break-away, he takes it to the goal and scores!
Christian loves his uniform. I think he would wear it everyday if he could. He is soooo excited to be playing.
As is with most of the kids at this age level, it's all about the after game snack! I guess you have to have something to look forward to.
And what does Anthony do while the boys play soccer? He finds ways to entertain himself.
On this particular day, he found some muddy water in the ditch to play in. I had given up trying to keep him out of it. It kept him entertained and in one place for the game. He
had a blast!
He is so proud of himself and his mess.
He also likes the snacks!
